I am looking to purchase some of the open ended hook keepers like Castaway uses on their rods. Can anyone tell me where to purchase them?
Thank you,
Steve

Hook Latches are available at several places. I got mine at Acid Rod.

And I have still never been billed - even after several emails...hint hint. :)

We got the ones we have from Custom Tackle - they are the ones that appear on the Photo Board on the Bass Rods.

If Bob is out we have a FEW that can go with a blank or other order for seats or grips.

There was a good discussion on making your own hook keepers by Lynn Williams. If you don't want to make your own there are a couple of distributors with links (on the thread) to some of the options. [www.rodbuilding.org] Thanks Mark

Thanks for the info so far. I guess I am really looking for hook latches, similar to those @#$%& has for sale. The ones I seen were not as long as those but they will definitely work.
Thanks again for your help, this is a great site.

For a true drop shot hook keeper write to [email protected] they have a website that shows the keepers and from which they may be ordered.

The hookeepers that Michael is talking about are from Reel Time Designs, they are pretty nice, a little big, but nice.
