CP question

I've been using FC , CP on regular thread, size A, . First coat is fine but I have noticed some inconsistant absorbion with the thread. I apply a second coat and will get, what appears to me when it dries, a white film. I assume the thread will not absorb as much as I applied. After it dries is there any way to remove the excess? Other than me learning not to apply too much on the second coat.

It will disappear when finish is applied. I sometimes use 3 or 4 coats on light thread. The CP encapsulates/seals the thread rather than absorbing into it

I had the same problem with the FC so i switched over to the Gudbrod stuff. I still have a bottle of their old formula and from what I hear the new stuff is not all that great. To tell you the truth I get bubbles with the old stuff also that when they dry you can see a white circle where they were. I've always used NCP thread and if I can't get the hang of the CP before this bottle is done I'm probably going to switch back to NCP thread, IMO not using CP allows the epoxy to better penetrate wraps.

Suggestions: cut the Gudebrod product with 30% denatured alcohol. Also, wait for Andy Dear's new CP - it eliminates virtually oll of these problems.

Does anyone have a feel when Andy Dear's product will be out?
