ATX Blank for Kingfish?

I want to build a few kingfish rods for the upcoming tournament season, but not really sure which blank to go with. I have seen Seeker CLB 704 recommended before, but I would like to start with a lower cost blank. Has anyone built on the American Tackle ATX Series? The AXLB70ML and AXLB70M look like good blanks, and for the price if they don't work out, I can always use them for inshore work.
I will be in an anchored boat, free lining live bait. Daiwa Sealine-X SHA 50 conventional reel with 30lb mono. All of my other builds have been light inshore, so this is new territory for me. Thanks, Scott Re: ATX Blank for Kingfish?

Either one of those would be a great substitute. I would lean more to the ML, where are you located? Re: ATX Blank for Kingfish?

I agree, the ML is the one to go with.

I'm in St. Pete, I'm probably fishing a few of those tournaments in the same class so I change my original recommendation to the first one on the list, in pink of course
