There are only two types (maybe 3, now). All the white ones are pretty much identical products. Straight acrylics. The older Gudebrod 811, Epoxy Coatings Co., SC115 and 215 and possibly the old CPX were urethane/acrylic combinations. The older nitrocellouse laquer types are no longer made. Lamar has a new CP out of which I'm not sure of the make up. It's still pretty new.
All have their fans and detractors. .......... Re: Which brand color preservative for nylon wraps?

aerogloss lacquer for model planes works extremely well. it does need about three coats but the color is very bright. Olympic water based urethane works very well. other water based urethanes have not worked as well for me. Re: Which brand color preservative for nylon wraps?

Gudebrod 811 (the clear version), cut with 30% denatured alcohol.
And when it hits the market, Andy Dear's new stuff. Uncle Russ Calico Creek Rods Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
