Just a quick question regarding the foam grips, since they are white in color, can you apply rod armor to them to make them look different or can you color them? I was lookng at the mudhole catalog and noticed the

Pretty sure you'd be able to overlay something like Rod Armor on them without too many issues, although the core may still show on a free end, line in a split grip.
Flock it!! While the surface looks smooth enough, under close inspection (as Tom provided with his macro shot) you can see the irregularities. Firm as and lighter than cork..........FLOCK IT!!! Re: Foam Handle/Grips

If you use rod armor It looks like the 4lb cores are not hard enough, try the 6ib or 8lb. The 4lb really needs a hard outer shell or it will get dented or damaged pretty easy. I can indent it with my fingers if a sqeeze it to hard that should give you an idea. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
