Updating CCS data Site

Does anyone know how often the CCS data site files are updated? Seems it has been several weeks at least.

You'd have to email Bob and ask him. I'm sure he has other things to do and probably only updates it as a certain number of new measurements come in.

I've submitted some CCS data on some blanks I've tested months ago and it STILL hasn't appeared on the site. As good of a tool the CCS System is, it's extremely handicapped when information cannot be OBJECTIVELY shared! I can only immagine how much data is not being made readily available to us because of this "hick-up".

Any other CCS data sites out there?

Anyone else up to the tasK? (I'm too computer illiterate).

Torin.

Bob doesn't charge anyone for adding to or hosting the CCS data site so let's not be hard on him. It costs him money and time to do it and no one else has stepped up to the plate to do the same. Be patient and let him get to it when he can.

Sorry for not updating the site. My real job and other activities have left me very little time for site maintenance & updates.

If anyone else would like to host the data site, please email me from the site. The data pages are updated using MS Excel 2003, an ftp application, and your site has to be able to process a formmail type script to receive submissions via email.. If you're familiar with those tools, then a person could manage replacement site. The rate of submissions is probably between 50 to 100 a year. To host a site, it will probably run about $50 - $100 per year depending on your hosting company. As far as I know, Rodbuilding.org is the only one with an active link to the homepage. Tom could easily change that to a new site when/if one is established.

I'm behind about 35 submissions. I'll try to get those up early next week.

Bob

Sorry Bob! I meant absolutely no disrespect. What I should have clarified is that I was under the impression that there might be a problem with your receiving the data due to some internet technical error. This is where I thought there might be a potential "hick-up". I was not blaming you personally. I fully understand being extremely busy with your other more important duties in life. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Torin.
