Train Travel to the Expo

High Point, NC is served by 6 passenger trains daily. We're on the main Norfolk/Southern rail line between New York and New Orleans (the highest point, which is where the city gets its name).

The Crescent, which has been running since the 1930's, still comes through early each morning (1 to 2 AM) and stops at the turn of the century railway station which just happens to sit across the street from the Radisson Hotel. The Carolinian, which also connects to points north and south, comes through mid morning and early evening.

Train travel is pretty sweet, actually. Much larger and roomier seats than airliners. Much, much more so. Rates are decent and you leave the driving to someone else.

At any rate, for anyone coming in from the New York to Louisianna corridor, this is one more option for getting to the ICRBE.

For the Crescent or Carolinian, hit this link and download the pdf brochure-
