I'm looking for replacement O Rings for my clemens wrapper. Renzetti has them for $2.00 each which is high enough, but they have a weight listed as 2.00 pounds which comes to $13 + for shipping just 1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated Re: Replacement O - Rings

I was told o-rings.com a while back. I never looked into it. It would be nice for someoen I know to place a large order, say for 100 rings, and we can split the cost. Re: Replacement O - Rings

That might be Piano wire, but dont' quote me. I dont' use mine and gave it away a long time ago.
I do not know what wears teh o-rings out. When I lived in my parents house, I went through them quick. I haven't changed but 4 or 5 in the 6 years I've been in my current shop, adn I do a HECK of a lot more turning. I do get soe sunlight in the AM too. Re: Replacement O - Rings

Don't know if they have the right size, but I have picked up O-rings for my Renzetti vice and a home made hand wrapper @ True Value hardware store. Might even try Ace Re: Replacement O - Rings

Take one to your local plumbing supply house. They usually have large selections for repairing faucets. Pretty cheap compared to other places, at least around here anyway. Re: Replacement O - Rings

If you have a Miller bearing store in your area, just take the old ring to them and they will match it up for you. I needed an(O)ring for my Rod Smith and I bought a bag I think it was about $5.00 and change. That was the way they came. That was about three years ago.

A good auto parts store or a good farm implement shop should have a wide selection of O-Rings to choose from. Re: Replacement O - Rings

If the local shops don't work out check out Mcmaster Carr - www.mcmaster.com
Although be prepared to be overwhelmed with choices. Re: Replacement O - Rings

I made O-rings for my rod wrapper by going to the auto parts store
and asking for O ring rubber material. Just buy the right diameter. cut to length, put a drop of super glue on one end an hold together for a minute or so and you'll have your o-ring! Incidentally, the o-rings I made for the wrapper are going on three years now without a flaw. Can't get any cheaper than that!! John Re: Replacement O - Rings

If given the choice, go with viton vs. buna-n, I've found that the buna o-rings don't last nearly as long. Re: Replacement O - Rings
