Hopefully, somebody out there knows the answer. A buddy of mine gave me a rod he picked up for 10 bucks at a yard sale to rewrap for him. Well, I got the old cork tape off and I'll be darned if it isn't a Fenwick fiberglass 1026. Not a bad find for 10 bucks! Anyway, the beginning of the model number is gone but I think it's an FB1026 or FS1026. It's F something, I know that. Does anyone have any information I could give him about this blank? It's brown in color if that helps. Is this a new or old blank? I can't find any information on it online.
Thanks in advance! Terry Re: Fenwick 1026 fiberglass

The old SU1026 was a 2 piece surf blank rated for 4 to 10 ounces. If you have an "FS" 1026 you're looking at a 10 foot spinning rod. When I get into the office tomorrow I can look up the specs in one of my old Fenwick catalogs.

Thanks Tom. It was a very poorly done custom wrap job already, so I don't know what this blank started out as. This is a 1 piece rod as well. I did notice that the Fenwick logo and labe are actually metal of some sort inlaid into the rod. Never seen anything like that before! Re: Fenwick 1026 fiberglass

At one time they used a foil label that looks metallic, but it's actually silver foil printed in brown and yellow.
