Has anybody built on the ATC bass blanks?
I am told the company is owned by Bob Loomis and that they have some high quality blanks. I plan on ordering a couple to try if others have had good luck with them. Thanks Keith Re: ATC rod blanks

Keith
The ATCV blanks are very nice. Getting them in a timely manner is a different story. If you unhide your email I'll contact you with some specifics, or contact me. matt Re: ATC rod blanks

I sent an email and opened my email address.
I am looking at adding some bass blanks and build some for myself. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I build mostly musky stuff but I got the bass bug late last year. Keith Re: ATC rod blanks

I bought one ATCV blank last winter to build as a bass casting rod. This blank was 6'6" medium heavy power fast action. I fished the rod all last season. The blank is strong, I never had any problem. Finish was not very good, it had wipe marks all up and down the blank, and the blank was heavy in weight compared to a loomis, st croix or Lamiglas XMG50. I think Bob is Gary's nephew or cousin or something like that.
It is an overall good blank if you are not looking for something very lightweight. For the price I would go with a Loomis IMX, or even better would be the Loomis GLX. Or if you dont want a big name blank look at the CTS Tournament Elite baitcasting or spinning blanks, similar price but a much more advanced blank. Another VERY solid choice in upper tier bass blanks would be the Lamiglas XMG lineup. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
