Any 6400 or 700 ex-fast spin jig blanks in High Point?

I'm daydreaming about panfish and wish the Lami XMG spin jig blanks were still available in the lighter powers. Are there other equivalent options out there other than Loomis? I would like to find a blank that still weighs in under an ounce but is very fast in the tip with ample backbone in the bottom.

Have you looked at the ATC line of blanks? There are some in their that might meet your needs. Angler's carries them.

Those blanks look nice, but also look heavier than what I had in mind; and I could buy the Loomis for no more money.

The LSJ781 is 7/8 ounce at 6'6". Todd at Lamiglas DOES allow and even encourage cutdowns. Those are great little blanks ... consider getting one or two and doing some experimenting - I think you might just be very pleased.

You will find exactly what you're looking for at the ICRBE. There will be something like 15,000 rod blanks on display here and many of the manufacturers will have samples of all their models. Dealers will have many times over that. I found some very similar All Star blanks last year that were very close to the Loomis SJ700, nearly identical. I think I paid $10 each for them.

Don't forget that for those of you looking for the oversize surf 1pc. blanks you can save on shipping by picking them up there. Just let your dealer who will be showing ahead of time so they can schedule to have them shipped to High Point.

I`ll second your wish about the Lami spin-jig XMG 700. It is , in my opinion, an absolutely fabulous crappie and white bass vertical jigging blank. PLEASE bring it back and promote it as a panfish blank, for that application it is a real jewel.

Mud Hole has 4 of the LSJ700 blanks left (as of this evening) on their discontinued listing.
You might want to check these out for now.
