Guys,
Any manufacturer/distributor out there that can supply an additional tip for warranty persons, or stock them in case of a tip explosion?

You can't stock them because each one has to be hand fit to the particular blank you have. Only the manufacturers can do this and fewer and fewer are doing it anyway. Normally they just replace the whole blank.

Jay,

I had one explode on me. It was on a 50+ year old solid fiberglass rod I used as a kid. I always liked it. Since half the guides were missing I decided to rebuild it, In removing the tip with a butane torch, the whole tip exploded on me. (No injurey-but a big bang)

The reason I was asking is we have been selling a lot of rods to Australia and just signed a small distributor agreement with a company out there, and since 99% of the failures are in the tip section it would be beneficial to have extra tips on hand in Australia for replacement purposes in case one does fail.
