EVA Colors & Combos

2 questions - what color EVA would you like to have that is not currently available? What color combo would be you be interested in if customized EVA grips with trim rings were available?

I'm thinking of making some EVA grips for sale at the NERBs booth, and am wondering what people might interested in.

Billy,
I'm not going to be there (so you might want to disregard my opinion!) but I think alma-mater colors might sell--i.e., orange & white for UGA, baby blue & white for UNC, orange & blue for UF, etc.

I'm with Fred, burgundy or garnet with grey or graphite grey is something I want to try playing with.

Shades of Red trim rings, on a black grip, right? I've got 3 shades of Red-Burngandy, and 3 shades of pink.

I figured most colors sandwiched between white would look good too. Team colors is a great idea. Tom, if all goes well I'll be selling grips on a per order basis, to whatever specs the person wants.

I hate to sound like some sort of freak here but anything in a bright, almost sickening florescent color to use in rods for night fishing as they show even in low light ( yellow, orange, green, red). Blues and Purples (for Putter of course...ummm), grays, greens, and browns. I would also like a greater selection of camo patterns.

You would be my HERO is you came up with a camo eva surf grip set in florescent orange, green and white............Don't ask......won't tell.

Yes....I am seeking professional help.

I'm able to make a very bright Green EVA grip, as well as Orange. Cannot do Camo though. The color is not Neon though, so I do not know how it will "glow" in the dark, but they sure are BRIGHT!!

I'll try to draw Mike Barkley, by asking if there would be any interest in different color trim rings, with different thicknessess wihtout having to glue 2-3 craft foam strips sandwich style.

Trim rings in 1/8", 1/4", and even 1/2" would be interesting to me for sure....especially if the colors are there.

Hmmmmmmmmmm....Glow in the dark eva......................there's an idea......Given the right substrate and pigment.............

I am also willing to bet you could come up with some two-toned eva if you applied yourself.

To me black eva can look a little drab unless I do something to the rest of the build that can take more time and effort.
I'm completing a ISA 1266 with eva because the rod will spend a lot of time wedged between rocks, in a rod holder or plunking on the Columbia R. in a sand spike. Couldn't go all black with one of the wood/aluminum nut Wiebe insert trigger reelseats he wanted.
His boat color is deep blue so I used a Pac Bay Deep Water camo grip as an insert and extended it out to 13.5 inches on both ends with a large OD black eva grip from Anglers Workshop and used a blind ball end off a fly fighting butt as the end cap. Extended a 3 inch eva foregrip to 5 inches with another insert piece of Pac Bay Deep Water camo eva and used Sulky deep blue metallic wraps with white NCP trim.
Almost forgot he also wanted it spiral wrapped to the right using Batson black frame/blue ring guides.
