My Permagloss always sets up in the bottle, what can I do to make it last longer ?
I read something about the method to put it into a can but I did't understand well how I can get it from the can to use it. Is there a faucet to install on the can? Does anyone has a photos to help me?

Marco, I put my Permagloss bottle in a maaon jar with a screw-on lid, with 5 or 6 of those little dessicant packages. For a while I was vacuuming out the air in the mason jar with a Food saver, but found it wasn't necessary. My Permagloss lasts till the last drop, even in the dead of summer in the high humidity. Make sure you wipe the Permagloss off the threads on the bottle.

Wally world has a product used to remove moisture from closets take the little white beads and wrap them in nylon webbing put this and perma gloss in mason jar and put on TOP SHELF 0f refrigerator. Will last more than a year.

I keep it in a Ziplock bag in the freezer when I'm not using it. Lasts MUCH longer.

So does superglue.

No disrespect intended, but isn't Diamondite a 2 part epoxy or am I mistaken?

Diamondite is a two-part finish, but NOT an epoxy. It is actually related to adhesives. There are NO amines in Diamondite, so no allergic reactions. It is a great finish - easy to use, simple to mix, great leveling, super clear, 110% UV resistant, extra strong, one hour working time yet it can be cured in one hour with heat application.

I keep my Permagloss inside of my air conditioned home at all times. After opening the bottle for the first time, I use the cellophane that the bottle is wrapped with to cover the bottle top before I screw the lid on. I only use a glass eye dropper to remove the Permagloss from the bottle and eject it into a thimble. Usually, one eye dropper full is enough to do one coat on all wraps on the rod. I always hold the bottle vertically and never tilt it so it can get up into the top. When done, I take it back in the house. It never, never, never, spends the night outside and I keep the open time to the very minimum (Less than one minute). I clean my eyedropper with a little U-40 brush cleaner and on occasion I still have to buy another eye dropper but it's cheaper than PG. Following this, I have never had the PG set up before I could use it all and I live in a very humid climate.

The testors cap allows me to SLOWLY use almost all of a 4oz PG without any troubles. Once you get down to that last 10% you do loose it to thickening.

I will have to try the metal cap. Now I use a pair of pliers to remove the cap until it eventually busts. Wonder why the manufacturer can't resolve their problems. Why do the users of their product have to come up with alternate ways to store it?

I started using steel shot for a slingshot in 1/4" diameter. Just put a few in and get the Permaglos back up to the top of the bottle. Keeps for a long time since there is not air in the bottle any more.

well, look at it this way.....with the current system, they're selling more Perma Gloss. :>(

Question on the thickening.....Is there a solvent that can be used to thin it back out again?
