Got to meet Bill Batson today in a local rod shop. Just happened to be in the same place at the same time and asked about some Batson components. The guy says, "Oh, we've got the Batson rep here right now. Wanna meet him? Hey, Bill!"

What a great guy. Very in tune with the mind of the custom rod builder and very, very personable face to face.

Wow small world Aaron I hope you asked him a ton of questions and got to see some of the new stuff we are working on!

Every year I look forward to the Rod Expo and shake hands with all the folks we talk with. I have shook hands with Rod builders and friends that I have spoke with for over ten years and without this type of gathering or chance in a million like you had would we be able to meet face to face with so many folks in this busniess. See you all in a few months!

It was also a pleasure meeting a fellow Rodbuilder. I grew up in a rod shop ( My fathers shop back in the 70 - 80's Phantom Custom Rods in Maui). I have a REAL passion for the ART/Industry of Rodbuilding, I beleive that is what sets us apart from other companies in this industry. Yes I travel all over the world sharing this passion with folks of every size business. My father always said EVERYONE counts : it does not matter if they are a $500,000.00 account or a local shop that does $1000.00 in business. We all have the same Visions in Life, To promote the life style of the fishing experience. It is these experiences that drive the lives of the Batson TEAM.
