Hi guys
First,... happy thanksgiving day I`m trying to find a transparent color preserver and I couldn`t so far. Right now I`m using regular Flex-Coat CP, but some times when I place a little too much leaves a kind of a milky silhouette around my feather inlays. Any advises ?? Thank you very much Re: Transparent color preserver

I use Diamondite CP and U40's Color Lock. The Diamondite is clearer upon application and dries faster. However, I have used Color Lock on feather inlays and it dries crystal clear, regardless of how 'milky' it is to start with. Re: Transparent color preserver

I saw Andy Snedden do a demo on feather inlays using Min-Wax water based clear varnish a couple of years ago. Just dip the feather in the can, squeegee off the excess and place it on the rod blank. Dries clear and looks good. Apply your epoxy finish over the top the next day and you're done.
I've since tried it and I like the way it works. Joe Douglas Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
