new casting rod

hi guys.... havnt posted for quite a while.... im looking to build a new casting rod.... i want a decent blank under 100... any ideas???.... also i want to use one of those reel seats that had the lock in the foregrip.... if u no wat i mean..... any other ideas would be appreciated Re: new casting rod

There are so many good blanks for under $100 these days it would hard to pick just one. Browse the manufacturer's websites or call your favorite dealer and see what he or she is recommended these days. It would help here if you'd list what you plan to do with it - what you'll be fishing for, the lure weight range you toss and that sort of thing.

ok well.... im after a rod to fish for murray cod and goldern pearch..... i want it about 6 foot long with a line rating of 10-20lb or close to it..... any suggestions... Re: new casting rod

Well that certainly makes a huge difference. Hang tight and someone who does that type of fishing will hopefully chime in.
The best I could do is suggest a musky type casting blank, but that may be way off base. I've not fished for either of the species you mention. I have some idea, but not enough to be confident in making a specific recommendation for you. .................. Re: new casting rod

Use the search function and put in you fish species, there are quite a few Aussies and they may have made some earlier recommendations. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
