If everyone is being honest, as per their agreement with Sage, they are all sold at the same price. Where you are allowed to deal is on components, lines, reels and shipping costs.

Right, Sage blanks are fair trade priced and everyone pays the same and sells them for the same amount. That practice sure built one heck of a strong fly fishing industry.

Thank you for your feedback. Now I understand how it works.

I'm planning a trip for sailfish in 2009, so, if I start doing my homework and rod building now (#12 & #14) they'll be done by '09.

With rods of this weight, I'm going to hand Abel reels on both.
