Here's a question for all you PacBay wrapper users - does anyone know where to get larger wheels for the rod supports? Something maybe on the order of the kind of wheels used on the Renzetti?
thanks in advance Uncle Russ Calico Creek Rods Re: Wrapper support roller wheels and other stuff

I don't know if this will help, but the wheels on my Flex-Coat SW1 wrapper are 2 1/2 in. in diameter. I bought mine at Custom Tackle Supply, on the left. I hope this helps. If at first you don't succeed, go fishing, then try, try again. Re: Wrapper support roller wheels and other stuff

I'm going to check directly w/Pac Bay and Renzetti, and again, thanks so much to everyone for the suggestions and links. I hope every now and again I can help someone here like you guys have helped me
The problem with the two lower wheels on the Rod Support is that if you use bigger wheels, they will eventually interfere with each other in larger diameters because there's only so much room between them in their side-by-side configuration. What we wanted was a larger-diameter top wheel, to give us better pressure adjustments when clamping the blank into the support. Also, the various pulley-wheels at the site above may be a solution. We'll have to figure out the exact fit we need next weekend when I'm home again, between runs of fall jumbo Spot and the last of the bluefish and spanish for the year. BTW, we live on the only place on the East Coast where you can see a sunset over the ocean. We had one Saturday evening that rivaled anything I've seen in Key West, except without the Green Flash. Sometimes it's hard to remember that our original idea for doing this was to fix our own rods so we could fish more, with better gear. We often look at each other in the shop and say "I thought were were supposed to go fishing". Thanks again, Uncle Russ Calico Creek Rods Re: Wrapper support roller wheels and other stuff

Russ; The two lower wheels should overlap one another. Use a stand off the push one of them out far enough to pass the the inner wheel. Re: Wrapper support roller wheels and other stuff

I don't know if this will help or not, but here goes.
I bought patio door rollers (available in many sizes) at the hardware store, then went to auto parts store and bought rubber tubing to make O rings for the rollers. To make the O rings merely cut the tubing to the diameter you want, apply a bit of super glue and hold together for a few minutes. I have O rings I made ten years ago that never came aspart or broke. I use these rod supports on my wrapper, lathe and sever other applications. John Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
