what color should i go to use on a grey blankwith holographic guides to be a bit out there

Here are 2 wrap colors that look absolutely gorgeous with the holographic ring guides,

The 1st is a Angler's Workshop purple color called Grape(# 811 I think) with CP.It's is a really stunning shade of dark purple and looks FAR nicer than the Gudebrod purple IMHO.

The 2nd is Gudebrod Cobalt Blue(# 50) with CP.

Both of these look amazing with the holo guides,especially when trimmed with a band or two of Gudebrod's size A Electra Holographic Metallic Thread.Gold looks incredible,as does the silver.

Normally I prefer not to use CP for wraps on my fly rods,but these colors really do pop when CP is put on them and they match the holo guides better I think.I love both of these wrap colors but I especially like the Angler's Workshop Grape.

I've used the Gold HT Electra as the main wrap with two single threads of Red metallic imbeded and Green metallic trim bands. I put this on a light purple blank. This combination catches and matches most of the colors in the holographic guides. Blue metallic would also look good as trim or highlight wraps. Out in the sunshine these metallic threads really add soemthing to the holographic guides. Lots of very positive comments from clients.

You could try Sulky thread color 7022: Jade/purple multi-color. It looks pretty good with the multi-color holo guides.
