Gatti Spinning Reel Seat

I am building a "once in a lifetime" rod as a gift. It is a spinning rod using a SCIV gloss cobalt blue blank. I am using Fuji gold cermet guides. I'd like something other than the plain old Fuji graphite reel seat. I am looking for a bright aluminum spinning reel seat like the ones used on the Gatti spinning rods. Does anyone know where I can find such a seat? Also, would the Pac Bay SLIM seat size 17 be to heavy for a medium action spinning rod? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

The triangle ALPS seats are quite different and great looking.

The Pac Bay 17 mm is the smallest reelseat, the others are 20 mm or bigger. I don't think a little weight right under your hand would be much concern. You get a bigger difference in weight when going from say a Shimano reel to an Okuma of the same spool size.

I am going to throw this in. If I was building a "rod of a lifetime" I would make sure I use a "seat of a lifetime" which would be a Fuji seat. I've seen guys spend a ton of money on a rod and want to fit it out with "pretty" metal seats. Then they wound up with a rod that they cussed and swore at every time on the water because the damn seat kept coming loose and letting go of their reel. Be careful what you use. The pretty seats are not always the best seats.

They are uncomfortable when it's chilly out also. Built my Dad an old school glass salmon rod on the Seeker 8 ft 9 in blank many years ago, he loves the rod, but still mentioned the stuff he could live without from the good old days like the cold Lakeland trigger seat.

Thanks for the help guys. REC shows great looking spinning seats in their catalog. None are available in a silver finish however; only pewter and black. I'll take a look at the ALPS. Thanks.
