Where are a few places you can get aluminum tubing for extending a rod? Lowe's or Home Depot!
Thanks.

Yes, both of those as well as most better home hardware stores.

Hobby shops sometimes carry it as well. But don't use the brass tubing they sell - it will fold up on you when used in that type of construction.

I didn't have a Lowes nearby, but what I faond at my local Home Depot and Orchard Supply was not very good. Did not machine well and cracked easily.

In price and quality, I've found [www.onlinemetalsupply.com] to be great. Sometimes they haven't had what I wanted, but they have been great for me overall.

yep,,, and you pay for it. McMaster is about the last place I look for things. Very rare I use them. Simple enough to check Pierce (onlinemetalsupply), Enco for a sale, and metalsonline first. Easily saved over 50% on my last stainless buy. Have done about 4 orders with Pierce this year alone,,,, never a problem and the pricing has been great.
