Gudebrod 811 CP?

I have a bottle of this. It seems to be very thick? I have put it on and it is seems lumpy looking when going on. It dries clears and you can't really tell it is there once dried. Is this normal?
By lumpy I mean when applying it I am holding the brush against the thread and rolling the rod. Once done what was smooth thread prior to the application of CP is not visiably rough/bumpy/lumpy looking. Like I said it dries fine and you can't tell it is there. Should I be able to tell it is there once dry? I did scratch over the thread in a test and it left a white residue. I moistened a cloth and wied it and it returned to a normal appearence. Never really used it before so I am unsure what I "should" be seeing. It is also un-thinned when I am using it.

i use the u-40 color lock 2. when i apply it looks like it isnt there also and when i put the finish on none of the thread turns translucent...i dont think it should look like a dry thread like when it came off the spool but more shiny...wait till someone else chimes in first though as ive only use CP 1 time so far

Gudebrod CP is going through a bunch of reformulations. If it is the old formulation, addition of denatured alcohol (small amount) wil help with the lumps. If it is the new stuff I have no idea how to fix the problem! I don't think the new CP is as good as the original formulation! I think Gudebrode maybe trying to cut cost!

You had the original clear #811 which was great.
Then you had the clear STINKY stuff,,,, BAD .
Then you had the white stuff,, thick.......BAD.
Now you got the white thin stuff..........still BAD !!!!

Dynamite works good to thin the new stuff. Just use it in a well-ventilated area far from civilization...
