fixing scuffed blank finish

Quick question,

Not thinking too clearly as I assembled my grip and blank through style casting seat today, I scuffed the whole blank area, including "through" part (derrrrrrr). Not a huge mistake, but now the exposed blank in the seat is scuffed and ugly. It's a green Matrix Amtak blank (the finish has a green tint), and I am wondering how I can somehow restore the finish to that spot. Can I just put a super thin coat of lite build finish on there, or will that just make matters uglier. Not a big deal, not much invested in this build, just sort of an annoyance if I don't fix it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance,

Brian

A coat of Permagloss would do the trick and be tough as nails.

thats what i was thinking.... use something like a coffee filter to apply a very light coat, reapply as needed til the area gets the look you are looking for. hopefully that will do the trick!

I'd try the Permagloss on that Matrix blank somewhere where your handle will cover it, first, just to be sure it doesn't 'dissolve' the matrix finish...
