Been a while since I've been on the board -- too much to do after retiring about a year ago!
Have a blank of unknown origin. It's labeled as "All Star BGSW967", but the specs I've been able find for that blank on the web don't exactly fit what I'm holding. The blank I have is one piece, tip diameter of about 6 (64ths) and butt OD of about 0.625". What I've been able to find in the All Star blank line (I know they're no longer sold) with a 967 notation, SW or otherwise, indicates a larger butt, 3/4" to approaching 1". Can anyone give me any insight as to what I might be holding? I plan to build it as a spinning rod for throwing artificials in the surf, but I'm wondering what its capablity might be. Thanks. You have an old BGSW967 it should have a .660 butt and a 6.0 top if I rember right:) Sweet blanks but were prone to high stick breaks back then thats why we changed the tip size a bit in the Rainshadow line up. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
