They are good blanks. The ones left at Mudhole have been picked over for a while so the more popular and higher modulus blanks are gone. It was a good company and I liked their blanks - the lack of a warranty basically offsets the price savings in my book - if you are interested in one buy two so you have a back-up - (better than two-fers if you take my meaning...) - since there is no long-term factory warranty on them. I think Mudhole warrants them for a short while to be sure you don't wind up with a lemon right out of the gate. The price is nice anytime you can get first rate blanks for less than half price... Good blanks, have lots of personal rods built on them. Re: opinion on shikiri blanks?

They are excellent blanks. I am building 2 of them as I type. Oops, got some Rod Bond on my key board. Re: opinion on shikiri blanks?

On the flip side tho, I don't know that anyone is making bad blanks.
BTW,,,,, I've seen people say that PacBay Coastbusters were also Shikiri, and there are some real deals on those floating around. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
