Marnie,
Installation depends on what you're putting it on. Is it going over a raw blank? Cork Grip? Foam/Hypalon Grip? We stock kits with different adhesive tapes depending on your installation. A heat gun or even a hot blow dryer is all that you need to shrink the tube. It can go over an old grip by either using the adhesive tape included in a kit, or by using a small amount of epoxy on the old grip to keep the shrink tube from twisting. I am building a new rod so it is going over a raw blank. Does that make a difference in the way you put it on. any suggestion on the what type of epoxy to use. Re: armor gip

You don't want to put the tube directly over the blank because it will be too firm (uncomfotable). Normally it gets applied over cork tape or the Nu-Skin double sided foam tape to give it some cushion. Using the Nu-Skin foam tape kit, ( seen here ---> []) there is no epoxy or other adhesive needed. It's already on the foam backing.
Rod Bond or any rod building epoxy will work if applying the tube over cork tape. Mark Griffin [] C&M Custom Tackle San Dimas, California Re: armor gip

Marnie; I used the Kit that Mark carries at @#$%&. Com and it worked very well (after throwing a crappy Hairdryer out in the Street!) I used a Commercial heat gun. Worked quickly, Keep the heat gun moving as not to over heat the Blank or Grip under Re: armor gip

Mrrnie i believe first you want to use a cork grip under it and apply it over that not directly on the grip. Thats not really what its made for. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
