Temple Fork Outfitters TFO Professional 905-4 question

Dear Rodbuilding community,

having currently a small problem: Has somebody already build up the Temple Fork Outfitters blank from the Professional series in class 5 (Professional 905-4) and is able to describe it a little in regard of feeling and action?

I have checked the common cents page, according to their listings it is a quite fast blank but if you follow the manufacturers page it seems to be more an easy to cast (=slow) rod. Where is the truth or what is a popular rod which is comparable to this TFO Professional Please let me know your experiences with this blank - there should be some outside if I see the listings at superbob.org.

Really appreciate your comments.

Rgds,
Ole

I have one. All I can tell you is I have problems casting a #5 line with it, but a #6 and a #7 line cast much better, indicating to me its really a 6 weight-gb-

I think your comparing two things. The rod is a fast action rod built on IM6 graphite. A fast action rod can be built on any material and none of them will be similar. I think you are thinking a fast action rod would also be a fast recovery rod and that is just not true. No more than a mod fast blank could not have fast recovery characteristics or that it couldn't throw just as tight a loop as the fast action rod.
