Is it called a ramp on a fly rod? and how?

I was just reading a thread about making a epoxy ramp up to a real seat and it got me thinking. I went searching and the only results I found were for rods other than fly rods. Is this same affect called the same thing on a fly rod?

If it is then I couldn't find any information. Does anyone have any information on how to do this with fly rods?

Im really new to this concept so if you could spell it out I would appreciate it.

Bill,
Do a search on "subjects" and "body" for "epoxy winding check" and that may get you started. Bob

same thing on a flyrod i suppose I think I still have the e-mail tuorial Somebody sent it to me...I tried it on a rod I built about a month ago...not as easy as I had thought. If I can find the tutorial I'll shoot it your way.

Thanks all, I have read through some of the posts and I am getting the idea of how to do it. Seems a little tricky to me. I sure dont want to mess up this rod so I guess I will practice on scrap.
