Gudebrod Black Metallic Thread

G'Day guys,

Does anyone have any photos they could put on the photo site or direct me to one's already on there that show how metallic black looks once the epoxy has been applied. My new rod I'm building is based on a St Croix SCII blank which is a pearl black in colour and I'd thought metallic black overbinds would look quite fitting.

Thanks.

It looks black. lol.

WHereas Black NYlon "disappears" under epoxy, Metallic black looks like Onyx.

Open this picture and then click on it to enlarge -

The one on top with the red snapper has black metallic under the little red fishy -
black on black on black - for the non thread artist and user of Invisiline Weaves!

I used it once for a ferrul wrap, thinking it would give a cool sheen. It pretty much disappeared into plan black when I put the epoxy on it, which is fine but not the cosmetic flare I was looking for.

Michael, you owe me for posting this for you 3 years ago, lol. Overwraps are Black Nylon, underwraps are Black Metallic. I just re-wrapped thi srod due to the epoxy I used (Aftcote pre-production sample started turning white)

Thanks for the replies guys. I kind of knew it wouldn't look anything special, but I was hoping it would :) Maybe I'll try just black nylon with a tiny bit of ultra fine glitter.

Billy, I can't load up the link you provided (I think some censoring is going on with that link).
