Can anyone tell me if the thread carriage on this wrapper can hold the Madiera thread spools. In pictures it looks a little too small. Thanks

Yes! you can adjust the rods that hold the spools.

Scott,
It does but you can't run two spools on the same shaft. You have to offset one so far the other is too short. I was considering making my own longer ones to accomodate two spools but haven't got around to it. I've also used empty Gudebrod spools and wrapped the Madeira onto that first. Randy.

We just extended the thread rods on our Pac Bay carriages to accommodate Madeira threads. Worth the bit of time it took!

If you have access to a sewing machine, just use a bobbin winder to transfer the thread to another spool. Takes maybe 30 seconds to do the whole spool. Just write the thread info on the new spool and you are good to go.

If you don't have access to a bobbin winder, just clamp the edge of another spool in the Renzetti. Turn it while holding the Madiera spool on one of the metal tensioner things.

Or, buy some longer threaded rod and just make longer thread spool support rods. Andy is probably going to start extending the current ones on his carriage unit as Maderia continues to become more popular.
