Date: April 19, 2007 08:55AM I'm in the process of gathering materials together to make a power wrapper using an old sewing machine motor that I have. I can't seem to come up with a good source for spring wire for tension purposes. Can anyone help me find a source? Thanks Dave Re: Spring wire

Go to your local hardware store, they usually have a bunch of different sized springs.
Good luck. Re: Spring wire

Check out McMaster -Carr Supply Co. on the net. I bought stainless wire from them for the purpose you have in mind. Stan Grace Helena, MT "Our best is none too good" Re: Spring wire

Yeah, try your local hobby store that carry radio controlled airplane parts and they should have 12" and 36" lengths in various diameters. Re: Spring wire

Thanks for the help. I've tried the hobby wire and it doesn't seem strong enough for what I want. But then I'm not sure I'm making things correctly but will probably have to modify as I go along. Thanks for all of the help again!

Does anyone fish here lol !?!?
Stainless steel leader wire, this is what you want! Its as close as the renzetti or clemens spring wire you are going to get how do I know? My bud has both machines and the wire in the store. His wire springs broke and we compared them and decided this was a perfect match and works well. Retails for like $3.99 we used number #14C model number is S14C-0 Here is their website and a link to the exact product I am refering to. [www.americanfishingwire.com] Re: Spring wire
