Pigment for guide wraps?

I have been doing a lot of marbling, and would like to use the same base pigment (testors) on the guide wraps. I am wondering if this will hold up long term on guide wraps where the rod flexes a lot, or if it will cause the epoxy finish to crack or fail somehow. I did see marbling guide wraps mentioned in Rod Maker.
Thanks, Marc Re: Pigment for guide wraps?

Thanks Putter. After getting your marbling DVD I am addicted!!! It's a lot of fun, and looks great.
No end to the color combo's and swirly patterns! Hope that 3 feet of ice is out soon for you. Marc Re: Pigment for guide wraps?

No problem. It just colors the finish, shouldn't change it's properties any. Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: Pigment for guide wraps?

My favorite Fluke rod has marbeled guides. After 3 years and about 375 fish including some 20 blue fish hooed by accident it still looks like the day it hit the water for the first time.I used LS supreme for finish. The blank is a little scuffed up but the guides looked good enough to display at high point.
