I thought I read that American Tackle is now offering the Matrix blanks in grey, but can't find the post. Has anyone seen these, and if so, is it a flat grey like, or does it still have the Matrix look to it?
Thanks, Marc Re: Grey Matrix Blanks?

heres a link, though it doesn't have the greatest of all pictures of the "twill" (I don't know why I really call it that, but you know what i'm talking about) area.

It's more of a dark charcoal grey/black. Looks good.

Related to the Matrix fly blanks, I thought someone told me that AT was planning to make the flyrod blanks available in the grey/black twill? Wondering when they'll be available? Can anyone comment on the green Matrix fly blanks and how they fish, if you were going to build an 8 foot #4 weight flyrod would you use the AT Matrix? I'd like to build a special flyrod for my son's graduation and would like to use a good quality but affordable blank.
Thanks, Tim Re: Grey Matrix Blanks?

They fish nicely. You can contact American Tackle Directly and ask them when other colors will be available for the fly rod blanks. I'm sure they'd be happy to speak with you.
