Hello,
Has anyone used fuji lowrider guide sets with the very small rings? I am thinking of using one on a spinnning rod that I use frequently with nothing other than braid, and I have a set lying around. I have seen similar rods on plat.co.jp for squid and sea bass. Re: fuji lowrider for light tackle

They work great, especially for braid. For spinning rods they have a high framed version that I would consider using for the first stripper type guide, end with DB's. I have a project in the works with the same type of guides.
I would set up the blank with the guides, test cast it and see how you like it. Phil Re: fuji lowrider for light tackle

We use Fuji "S"-type guides for our "Guide" series of rods. They aren't exactly low-riders but they are lower than most other styles. We've had great luck with these and they cast smoothly with just about any line. They are dbl-foot/reinforced frame in the "old" triangular shape, which makes them a little stiffer in the build than some other styles. But I've also built some rods using what you are probably calling low riders and they also work fine.

If casting braid with no knot passing through te guides, the T-LDBSG-6 should work fine. I've got a set on a GUSA 702 which I use conventional, and I have a set with size 5's for a GUSA 78L which I am in teh process of wrapping SPinning. Have a couple of other sets in size 4, 4.5 and 6 for fun, sort of like amassing GI Joe's or Matchbox cars as a kid, lol. For giggles I'm trying to get my hands on MKSG 2.5, anotehr just to have item, and I am pretty usre that you could get size 2 guides from Custom Tackle Supply if you must have the smallest of the small.
The LDBs have teh added feature of sexiness since they sit at a 45 degree angle and every other guide is perpendicular to teh blank. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
