I want to do a scale pattern on a rod butt but don't know how to start to lay it out . Can some one explain it , or email ( cglot@webtv.net ) a link that shows it , or a book that tells how to. I'm not looking to wrap a elonggated scale but one just like I saw in photos by Jim Rippe I belive it was. Thank You for the help. Edited 1 time(s). Charles, I sent you an email with an attachment. Hope it helps and hope others will chime in. I'm not great at explaining this by typing. Re: Scale Pattern Butt Wrap

If you have ever done a fish cross wrap, the scale pattern is basically the tail of the fish continued until it closes out. Re: Scale Pattern Butt Wrap

I think he's referring to a simple +1 thread sequence.
Personally I like to make them a little elongated not square. Lou Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/18/2007 06:45PM by Lou Reyna. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
