COLOR PRESERVE

If i put color preserve on my wraping how long do i have before i must put finish coats on.

After the CP dries you can coat it with epoxy. No set time but the sooner the better. If you let the rod set too long dust can get on the thread. If it is going to be quite a while before I epoxy the rod, I will slip the rod into a plastic sleeve like the blanks come shipped in to protect the wraps from dust.

Depends on the brand, but four hours in average between coats fo CP, and then 4hrs till the 1st coat of epxoy

I prefer letting it dry overnight. Not saying it's necessary but being retired, I tend to determine time by night/day cycles instead of hours/minutes!

My Color Lock 2 calls for 8 hours. That's a day cycle.....or a night cycle. Two more months Mike and it won't matter to me either!!
