Can anyone tell me if they have tried this? How does it compare to Tru Oil? I would like to know if its more of a top coat and does it produce a slippery surface
Thanks in advance Re: Birchwood Casey Stock Sheen & Conditioner ?

The sheen and conditioner will knock off the high luster of the True Oil and should be used as a second step after the application of the True Oil base. It reduces the slippery feel of the True Oil Base. Kinda like a satin finish instead of a high gloss. Re: Birchwood Casey Stock Sheen & Conditioner ?

Thats exactly what Im looking for. Do you also apply the sheen/con with a soaked rag? Should the tru oil be scuffed before application?

I spin the conditioner on with a piece of cheese cloth while turning at speed in a rodwrapper. I get enough friction to make heat in the rag. You can take the finish to just about any level desired. There is a fine fine abrasive in the conditioner. No prep necessary before use. There is a True Oil kit that contains stain, conditioner and True Oil. Inside the little kit is a complete set of instructions. You can also go to the Casey Products web site and get all the instructions for the use of the products. The stock sheen and conditioner is a wax with a little abrasive in it. It does not leave a "coat" of finish. Just a little wax. It works well. Finish the Tru-oil applications to your final satisfaction, let it dry throughly, then let it dry some more, then use the stock sheen. No, don't scuff the Tru oil. Try to get as glossy and smooth a coat of the True oil as possible, the knock the gloss off with the stock sheen. Re: Birchwood Casey Stock Sheen & Conditioner ?
