The folks from Matagi had a very impressive display and their products were very well received. Mamoru said that he was very pleased with the event and that they would be back again next year.

Robert,

We'll have a good portion of them up on our site in the near future. We're working on the order now. If you (or anyone else) has any suggestions of what you'd like to see us stock, drop me a note. The items available are shown under the "Matagi" link on Merrick's site. Start with Merrick's Sponsor link to the left.

Merrick is their exclusive US Distributor, but sells to Dealers only. We plan to put these items in stock for those who can't purchase directly from Merrick.

Will merrick be stocking this stuff? Last time I ordered these matagi components from merrick I waited over 3 1/2 months for my order.

Their components were impresive. I picked up a catalogue and it was 75% Japanese-25% English. Scot, I just hope what you show is 100% English. I don't want to have to get my sister (Who does not fish) to translate it for me! She does read and speak Japanese.

Matagi was a very big hit at the show! We knew that would be
the case-- anyone looking at these components can see that they
are pure quality and designed suberbly. As expected, we have been receiving
lots of orders and inquiries.

We have a hugh inventory now, however, these items are moving really fast.
We are doing everything possible to keep all the most popular
items fully stocked. Over the next few months we will be able to
see which items are the most requested and inventory on those items
will be increased to cover popular demand.

We ask your patience and help until we work this all out. Merrick Tackle
has always had an excellent reputation for having a well stocked warehouse.
With imported items it takes longer because of factors such as customs
and longer shipping distances for example.
