Fish Decals

There are some really nice fish decals out. One problem is that they don't look good on small-to-mid size blanks. Has anyone tried laying these on cork and sealing somehow? I realize this is not overly creative, but I have some customers that really like the decals.

Thanks,
Marc

I've inlayed them in the cork foregrips, but haven't put them right on top of the cork. I'd imagine that if you put a coat of finish on the cork, allow it to dry, and apply the decal and another coat of finish, it would work OK.

In the inlay, I put a coat of pigmented finish (usually white), then the decal on top of that, then a final coat of finish.

If you wouldn't mind, could you describe a little more detailed, how you inlaid the decal - or if you have any pic's would be great!

Thanks,
