Hi, I'm new here and have been lurking for a few weeks, Great site!!! I have learned a lot just by reading through the posts. I have been building rods for about 5 years and really enjoy it. I can not believe the craftsmanship on some of the rods I have checked out over in the photo section truly impressive. I tend to keep it simple and focus on the functionality, unless I get a special request. I am a part time guide and tournament angler on both salt and fresh water here in my home state of Florida. My favorite species are Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Trout, Kingfish (mackeral), and good ole Bucketmouth (bass.) I have a question for anyone who knows about Batson blanks I have a few of the IP series and love those for inshore, I was wondering what you guys think of the IMB series blanks. Specifically the IMB783, and the IMB843, for inshore/bass (baitcast) fishing duty. I tend to throw topwaters, Hard jerkbaits, soft plastic jerkbaits, jigs, and small swimbaits mostly. Thanks and looking forward to being part of the group!!! Re: New guy.

I think the IMB 843 would be a fine reds blank and also on snook. It's also a fine carolina rig blank, and would also do well wormin'. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/11/2007 01:00PM by Spencer Phipps. Re: New guy.

Thanks, I think I will try one of each and see how they do. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
