Check Anglers Workshop. Their pre-formed grips and set ups are of excellent quality and their service excellent. Bob Re: Quality premade cork spinning rod handles

Hi Sam,
I believe real first class handles are not available in a readymade configuration. Neither for Flyrods nor for spinning rods. Invest the extra time and turn your own handle. Experiences I made with preformed handles let me come to this conclusion. Rgds, Ole Re: Quality premade cork spinning rod handles

I've tried a Fuji kit, a St. Croix kit, and one from a non-sponsor that I believe to be a Pac Bay. I won't use any of them again. I may have had a bad one or two but they were all full of brown spackling compound to fill voids. Re: Quality premade cork spinning rod handles

I like you have been less than satisfied with the production cork handle kits. I like the look of the burl cork and use that for turning in most of my handles. The one draw back is that the burl is heavier than regular cork, if your looking for something special you will probably have to turn it yourself or have a one of a kind done for you. I have made my own in the past and they are very nice but i am only making a few rods a year. If you dont buy the cork rings in bulk it is very expensive i no there are plenty quality fly rod cork handles i just dont understand why there are no spinning handles.
