Fly Logic blank- nice

I was curious about the Fly Logic blanks that I've seen on @#$%& for some time now (it seems some fly shop has many for sale) so I bought a 3 pc., 9 wt. Optimum model for $50.00. They also list an Optimum Plus for $80 to $100.
It's a very nice blank. Fast action, nice compound taper (another taper in the tip section, not a straight line from butt to tip), lightweight and a nice finish. After building it I can say that it casts beautifully. I'd compare it to a G.Loomis IMX for a fraction of the cost. Lifetime warranty too. Just thought I'd pass this on. Re: Fly Logic blank- nice

Jeff,
I would agree with you. I bought an 8 ft. 3 wt. 3 pc. in the Optimum Plus and it is truely a beautiful casting rod. I think that these blanks are a real steal for the price. Tom Hartman Re: Fly Logic blank- nice

Just curious if you received a decal or any factory rod card, warranty card or anything that verifies it is a first quality Fly Logic rod blank and not a blem or second? I wrote to one fellow selling them dirt cheap on @#$%& and asked if it came with the factory card or decal and he became very very defensive. I traded for a Fly Logic Optimum blank a while back and was impressed wth the light weight and fast action of the blank but it had a very significant curve in one of the pieces. I'm sure it had to be a second as I can't believe any rod manufacturer worth their salt would have let this one get out the door. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/01/2007 01:12AM by Rob Grider.
