If you want it to "disappear" use regular GB Nylon Med Brown #541. If you want some color and contrast, try GB HT Metallic Bright Copper #9631. I have done it both ways in the last two weeks and they both are attractive, IMO. I don't know what to suggest for trim wraps, that color is tough to work with. Re: Thread color

I like all the darker green colors on that rod. Gudebrod 5896 (dk. green), olive (806) and evergreen (807) look really nice with no CP. Olive and Evergreen are specialty colors that I've only ever found at Angler's Workshop. If you're looking for something to melt into the blank, then look at Gudebrod 521 (med. brown) and 396 (dk. brown). You might also do a test wrap with 206 (garnet) and one with 340 (gold).
For trim, it depends on what color seat hoods and guides I'm using. If I'm using titanium guides, and gunsmoke hoods, then I go with a metallic pewter or silver. If I'm using gold hoods and/or guides, I go with metallic old gold (9004). Re: Thread color

It's hard to find a blank color that GB 206 (garnet) doesn't look good on - with or without CP. Another you might try is regular GB 257 (rust) without CP; it might be a bit too orange with CP. Re: Thread color

You might also check out GB 9541 (Metalic Bronze) and GB 9008 (Metalic Burgundy) Re: Thread color

I just finished a dark colored rod with Gudebrod black/orange classic twist (with cp) and two trims with Gudebrod metallic black and metallic bright copper. The orange tones down slightly to a more "dark goldish" color. Gives a nice tiger stripe pattern - a little bit of flash - but not too loud. I'm not familiar with the blank color you have so not sure if it would work for your taste.
