Just a quick note on Black Dog Tackle. I placed an order for one of the tiger eye blanks and some other goodies. I have to say for the price the blank is very nice. Way better than I thought it would be. Fast shipping and top notch customer service. Fine people to do business with. Thanks Joe.

I also highly recommend Black Dog. Joe is great to deal with, and the products are superb. I built two saltwater fly rods (an 8-weight and a 10-weight) last winter, both from Black Dog blanks and components, and have had more than a few people ask me if I could build one for them -- they turned out that good. And I don't even sell rods; I just build them for myself. It's good stuff. Re: Black Dog Tackle

That's what I thought you meant, Bill, that you paid $XX.XX for an item, and got a much better product than you would expect to get for that price. Maybe Chuck read it a different way -- I know that I've done the same thing a million times. Re: Black Dog Tackle

Whoops! Sorry! That's what happens when I try to cruise RBO while at my day job on a conference call. Re: Black Dog Tackle

Don't be sorry, it's okay to have a regular job. It provides money for rod builds. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
