Is this stuff different than EVA and Hypalon?
And what is that grip material used on Kistler rods? It does not look like foam or cork. I have seen the question posted a few times before and the reply is normally "it must be EVA or Hyp" but I don't think it is. Let's fish, Chris Re: Air foam grips

"Air foam" is just a play on words to match up with their "lighter than air rods". It's just a way of marketing their higher end rods to let the public know that their rods are "supposed" to be the lightest available. Edited 1 time(s). The marketing information Kistler uses on their web site to describe their rods suggests they may use Batson Products to their sales advantage. The seats, foam grips, guide sets and even the blanks appear similar to Batson Products. I just saw a foam grip set from Batson that is be used to build very light rods. They are highly unique, fit seats perfectly and have a distinctive feel in hand. Rods will be available in High Point using these unique grip sets in the Swampland Booth. I wonder why they were not called Hydrogen Rods which would be lighter than Helium. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 01/12/2007 06:59PM by Bill Stevens. Re: Air foam grips
