Could you be more specific? What brand "regular" standup blanks? Check out the Seeker website: www.seekerrods.com Re: Seeker Blanks

I'm really interested in the Long Range Model TS60H. What exactly makes it a Long Range Model. How is it's performance different from other stand up models? Re: Seeker Blanks

That's a good question! The term Long Range refers to the length of trip for offshore fishing, e.g.5-18 day in duration targeting big Yellowfin tuna to 300#. Up to a 10 years ago Long Range equipment was specialized and involves short moderate action rods for more leverage. The model TS60H, E-glass, 6', 40(50)60# would be considered medium heavy for a tuna stick. With the advent of small 2 speed reels, heavy spectra braided line and new techniques in fishing, the rod actions are faster and the lighter graphite composite rods have come into favor. How would you be fishing the TS60H? Re: Seeker Blanks

I'd be using it for Stand up fishing. Mostly chunking with some light trolling. I'll be using it with a Penn 15KG. I'm trying to decide wether to get the Long Range blank or the fast taper blank. Is the long range more of a medium taper rod? Re: Seeker Blanks

Hi John- Yeah, the "long range" models have a more moderate action than the fast-taper models in both the regular lineup & Classic series. What strength line do you plan to run and what size fish will you be targeting? Tom Re: Seeker Blanks

I'll be using 40lb mono and the fish range from 30lb up to 80lb. I think I'll end up going with the long range rods. Re: Seeker Blanks
