Robert, "Guideless from Mark Joyce - [www.rodbuilding.org]" , WRONG!!! It's Michael Joyce and by the way that rod has guides! It's spiral wrapped, using the bumper system.

Thank you for the correction on the name - and yes I know there are guides there - quite deceptive isn't it. Have a great New Year R Re: Less is more?

Actually depend on your perspective. There is a LESS and a MORE command in UNIX. Therein Less is more, More is less. Or something to that effect....
This thread is going nowhere.... Lou Re: Less is more?

The white CTS with a corian "bumper" was actually done by my evil twin Mark Joyce. He tried to break it by catching big fish it big current with 30lb braid. The blank didn't break, but the corian bumper grooved miserablly.
Do not use Corian for a bumper..... Clueless and thoughtless behavior. Re: Less is more?

Michael;
would be easy enough for you to remove and put a transition guide there Re: Less is more?

Steve, thats the perfect and easiest soloution....but, I stripped it clean instead. I learned just how strong ThreadMaster finish is, and pity those builders that will need to do repairs on rods made with it.
It may just qualify as a two part finish capable of a threadless guide wrap. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
