I key my syringes to the color of thebottle tops so I have resin in one and hardener in the other, but left the tops off and don't know which is the black - resin or hardener? Re: threadmaster bottles

If you do it that way, try to not take off more than one top at a time.
Me...I drill a small hole in the bottle top just large enough to squeeze the syringe tip through. I simply store my syringe right in the bottle top at all times. The only time the syringe leaves the bottle is to expell the component into a 2oz plastic cup. Jay Re: threadmaster bottles

I don't know who started the "hole drilling" Jay, Mike Barkley, or whoever, but Mike told me about this several years ago. I have never had a problem using this method! Jay did nail it on the head! I think there are many more Rodbuilders out there who use this method.

That was one of the first tips I remember picking up here. Wish I could take credit, but it came from someone else (don't know who. I've been using the same syringes for a couple years now. Just switched caps when I switched bottle. Now I buy the bigg bottles of Threadmaster and just refill my small bottles. Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: threadmaster bottles

...or, for spill-free drawing, try Adapta-caps! Re: threadmaster bottles

I learned that tip here also. Still using my original syringes and bottle tops. I simply switch them to the new bottles as needed.
All the other caps on the market cost $. Even if it is a small amount of $. Drilling a hole in the top of your exsisting cap is FREE. I always like free ;-) Jay Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
