White on white CTS

If I'm using white NCP on a white CTS, do I need color preserver? Does it matter for white underwrap and white overwrap?

Have gold Fuji SiC guides, thinking this may look good with the white wraps with gold trim bands, but have always stayed far away from white. Thanks.

Phil

You won't need color perserver to colorfast the thread, but something over the top, I'd think, would help keep the wrap clean till you epoxy it. That's the only real problem I've had working with white, keeping it spotless while and after wrapping.

If you want the whitest white, then use NCP and color preserver.

Phil,
I have a pic of a white CTS rod in my gallery with white NCP and no CP if you'd like to get an idea. Randy.

That rod came out pretty nice. I remember seeing the pic when it was first posted.

I think I'll wait till my new Custom PowerWrap arrives so the thread doesn't have to go through the tension wire on my PacBay... should keep the thread somewhat cleaner.

Thanks for the info.

Don't hesitate to try a white NCP underwrap with gold trim (CP'd) and a white nylon overwrap without CP over that....kind of like a threadless guide wrap within a guide wrap (Le guide sans fabrique!!!). Use ThreadMaster finish for clarity.
